There is no greater joy or challenge for me than drawing or painting the figure. The figures here are studies, charicatures, and renderings that please me. It is only recently that I have been able to come back to painting the figure, so I look at these pieces as stepping stones to a greater goal - somewhere between pencil and sculpture is a way to paint the figure that will bring forth the unique spirit of each form and reach beneath the surface.
